6th year - our special day

It is another wonderful summer time at bay area. For our special day, we headed to Napa downtown for lunch and spent the rest of afternoon in SF to visit museums (California Academy of Sciences and De Young Museum special exhibition - Tutankhamun).

Last year, Food and Wine magazine had an article about the new rising chef in US. Jeremy is one of them. Given he was ex Meresa (M two stars restaurant) sous chef and this "green" concept of restaurant/yoga studio, Ubuntu is on my gourmet journey list for a while. Even this is a vegetarian restaurant, the foods and favor of his dishes won't make you think about this is veggie only. My most favor (and seems most popular for every table) is "Southern breakfast": soft carneros egg and smoked trumpet "bacon" - organic grits from arbuckle with goat's milk whey, SAGE, blis bourbon maple. 美國南方菜式小米鹹粥
Guess what is Trumpet "bacon"? Of course, it is not real bacon. It actually is very favorful crispy, smoky dry mushrooms!!

Here is more professional critic for Ubuntu:
