Trevese in Los Gatos (*)

09/23/2009 update: Unfortunately Trevese has closed its door this month. Doing food business is not only labor intensive but also face a tough competition. Even with a talented chef and Micheline star, it still can't guarantee its success and profits. Glad I tried it out.
=======================================================
August 5th thru 12th is Los Gatos' restaurant week. We decided to give a try for Trevese, which is 2009 Micheline one start recipient. The restaurant is located in Coggeshall mansion at downtwon Los Gatos, a very gorgeous 1891 Victorian house. The house exterior may look like old style but the interior design is modern and elegant. Thru the window by our table, the night at thier patio seats was jazzy and romantic.
Chef Michael Miller has his ambition to bring this restaurant as a Micheline place since he took over 3 years ago. He described Trevese in three words "Thougtful, Complete, Forward." Thoughtful is definitely yes. His cuisine has very sophisticated favor and harmonically blend together. Just for the foods and environment, it is worth one star reputation.
